Having Fun with End Slices

End slices seem like something people don’t really know what to do with. I’ve heard of them become a source of conflict between roommates when when one consistently avoids the top end slice and just continues to eat down the rest of the loaf. But worse, I’ve even heard some people just throw them away! For the summer, Felicia and I have been volunteering for a nonprofit, which operates out of a commercial kitchen. Last Friday, bread slices were needed for the meals, but end slices didn’t quite make the cut. Rather than see practically a loaf of just end pieces go to waste, we decided to take them home. How I see it, end slices are special in their thin cut and with this in mind as an asset, I decided to have some fun with end slices.
